Ethan Mei ; Co-Founder & Head Tutor

Bio: Ethan is an ambitious and driven student from Manhasset High School, where he maintains a high GPA while balancing a rigorous schedule of AP courses in subjects like Calculus and Physics. His dedication to both academics and extracurricular activities reflects his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Ethan is a passionate coxswain on the varsity rowing team, where he led his team to a 2nd place finish at the NYS championships, showcasing his leadership and teamwork skills. In addition to rowing, Ethan is deeply involved in science research, focusing on innovative projects such as developing advanced hydrogels for wound healing. His research has been recognized at various science fairs, highlighting his analytical skills and creativity. Outside of school, Ethan dedicates his time to tutoring 20+ middle and high school students in math and science, helping them achieve their academic goals. He is also passionate about finance, having studied market trends and investment strategies since 5th grade, which has fueled his aspiration to pursue a career in pharmaceutical investment banking. Ethan's compassion and eagerness to make a positive impact led him to co-found Tutor Link, a nonprofit organization that connects students to tutors and teaches math to students in New York. Whether he's leading a team on the water, conducting research in the lab, or giving back to his community, Ethan is always looking for ways to grow and help others.

Jairus Bo ; Co-Founder & Tutor

Bio: Jairus is an exceptional student at Manhasset High School, maintaining an impressive GPA with a particular strength in mathematics. As the captain of the varsity tennis team and member since the 9th grade, he has demonstrated outstanding leadership and compassion by teaching essential strategies and tips to bolster the collective excellence of the team. Additionally, his ability to play tennis at a competitive level led him to achieve All-State placement for doubles in the Section 8 Nassau County Tournament. Beyond athletics, Jairus has exhibited a growing interest in robotics in which he takes on the role of lead driver of his independent team to the prestigious Vex Worlds Competition where his strategic command and technical expertise were crucial for scoring high and winning matches. A deep-rooted passion for Computer Science, fueled by a childhood filled with technology, drives his ambition to pursue a career as a software architect. The commitment to academic excellence is further exemplified by his extensive tutoring experience, where he has guided his peers to success, earning the Superintendent's Letter of Recommendation for completing over 40 Peer Responding Sessions in his sophomore year. Outside of school, his tutoring services offer both paid and unpaid sessions to help others excel in mathematics. Remi Pai ; Head of Operations

Remi Pai is a committed student at Manhasset High School with a deep passion for neuroscience and aspirations of becoming an MD neurologist. She has spent four years immersed in science research, focusing on neuroscience, and has earned placements in various science fairs. Remi is also a leader, both in sports and academics. As captain of the Varsity Fencing team, she guided her team to a Nassau County Championship for the first time in a decade. She also captains the Mock Trial team, leading them to success in the Nassau County Mock Trial Tournament. Beyond her academic and athletic achievements, Remi is actively involved in her school community. She serves as president of Teens Respect Teens, a club dedicated to promoting gender and racial equality, and as a student senate representative for Model UN, where she plays a key role in school governance. Her passion for helping others extends outside of school, where she tutors and babysits young students, volunteers at a local elementary school, and assists in teaching science at a museum. With her extensive experience and dedication, Remi brings valuable knowledge and enthusiasm to her role as Head of Operations for the Manhasset Tutoring Service, where she continues to make a positive impact on her community.

Samuel Abraham

Sam is a hardworking and curious student at Manhasset High School. He works hard to maintain a high GPA and make good connections with students and teachers. Outside of just classroom activities, Sam is also part of the Manhasset Science Research Program, where he has conducted science-based research projects for the last 4 years. Sam’s most notable awards from Science Research are placing 3rd place at the state fair LISC as well as publishing his research, Bioelectrical Stimulation Potentially Reduces Bleeding Time and Accelerates Regeneration in Lumbricus Terrestris in the NHSJS journal. Sam’s research highlights his passion for medicine and finding treatments for life-altering diseases. Outside of school, Sam also participates in many extracurricular activities. Sam has been a Hospital Volunteer in the Emergency Room and Pre-Surgical Testing department for the last 3 years, where he has gained experience in patient care and rounding. Sam also is a dedicated member of Varsity Cross Country and Track. Sam is a passionate leader constantly encouraging other teammates and helping them succeed every week in races. Sam’s passion for science and helping others drives him to pursue a career in the Medical Field. Sam is driven to help others succeed and grow to be better people, whether on the track or in the lab.
